Conclusion

It's a testament to the high-end graphics card market that an 18-month-old GPU is still top dog. Nvidia's partners charge over £1,000 for the privilege of owning one, and it will be a while yet until rival AMD has the firepower to compete in this space.

Those wanting the best graphics, therefore, need to zero-in on the RTX 2080 Ti. There are many interpretations out there, and one of the better ones is the Inno3D iChill Black.

Build quality is decent enough, performance in most titles is a bit better than an air-cooled reference model going by the Founders name, and the dual-slot package is easy to install in any mid-sized chassis. It runs very quietly and relatively cool, too, so there are many plus points.

All of that said, it's not perfect. The central TFT screen isn't the best, memory isn't overclocked, even though it ought to be, power is higher than expected, and the £1,299 price tag sits heavy on the card.

It's difficult to get everything right, however, and Inno3D prioritises aspects that it believes are important for the enthusiast. On absolute balance, we agree with most of the choices, so if you want an easy-fit, all-in-one RTX 2080 Ti, the iChill Black Edition certainly has to be on that very short list. Recommended for true power users who are deep of wallet.
